In 1996, I decided to follow my heart, return home and switch careers from
working for a financial institution in London, to starting a small business
importing authentic, beautifully-made English garden furniture and
accessories. After all, I reasoned, if an enthusiastic-but-amateur
gardener like me wanted a classic
topiary form or hanging basket design at an affordable price, wouldn't
there be others like me?
I love what I do, but what is critical, what I feel passionate about, is
that the garden-ware I import has to be crafted by a person not a machine,
utilizing strong, durable production techniques, and with an eye toward
designs which are time-less, proportionately correct and if it's furniture,
comfortable.
