Why are properties at Stonewood subject to a Declaration of Covenants?
The Declaration of Covenants
to which properties at Stonewood are subject, are to provide for the harmonious, careful, compatible, and environmentally sensitive
development of the Property for the benefit of the owners of the individual Tracts and their respective heirs, successors,
and assigns, as well as the flora and fauna which populate the Property.
One of the advantages to owning property at Stonewood of Door County are
the restrictions and conditions included in the Declaration of Covenants.
When you purchase your property, you agreed to comply with the property covenants
and so help to maintain the design standard established for the community.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The general purpose of this Declaration is to help assure that Stonewood of Door County will become
and remain an attractive community; to preserve and maintain the natural beauty of Stonewood of Door County;
to ensure the most appropriate development and improvement of each Tract; to guard against the erection
thereon of poorly designed or proportioned structures; to obtain harmonious improvements and use of material and
color schemes; to insure the highest and best residential development of Stonewood of Door County; and to
encourage and secure the construction of attractive residential structures thereon.
